What I Love about Event Photography | Tina Case Photography SF-SJ AreaPhotography has taken me on some wonderful journeys. One happy customer leads to another referral and experience. That's how I got started in event photography. It's also how I got started with theatrical photography and food photography. Event photography now comprises at least half of my bookings. I figured out why I love it so much. I love street photography and event photography is so similar - it's like controlled street photography. It's about capturing the candid, spontaneous moments during an event. It's about being ready to find those moments that stand out in that span of time. Most often I work with natural light even in low-light situations. I do have my Canon Speedlite 600 EX-RT when necessary, but my Canon 5D Mark iii has such great ISO that I rarely need to use my flash. Plus I want to keep the lighting as close to what it is during an event. Some of my latest events include working for the AIGA-SF chapter (American Institute of Graphic Arts-San Francisco) taking photos of Casey Neistat, H20.ai and their wrap up party for H20World. I also do a number of events for 78 Degrees, Dishcrawl, and Kleiner Perkins Caufield and Byers, one of the most well known venture firms in Silicon Valley. Whether it is a birthday party, corporate event or reception, I'd love to discuss your next event and see how we can collaborate. (Below photos are from H20World, Churchill Club, AIGA-SF, 78 Degrees.) So whether you have a corporate event or a special anniversary, let's collaborate.
