Behind the Scenes: My Gear, My StyleIt's not often that I have photos taken of me during a session. But I have been so fortunate to have Jocelyn, a college senior at Cornell, accompany me this summer on my various photo sessions. She took some shots of me at a 'Baby Bump' session at one of my favorite locations. What is my style? Totally relaxed, candid, spontaneous. My goal in every session is to keep things natural. I take formal photos but once those are done I get back into candid-mode and love when the radiant and natural smiles and interaction comes out. I love this particular location which is right off a hiking trail at a local park. There's lots of natural light, beautiful foliage and shady areas. On my shoots I typically carry two camera bodies (a Canon 5DM3 and Canon 5DM2) so I do not need to interchange my favorite lenses. The two I use the most are my Canon 24-70mm f1.8 and 70-200mm f1.8. I have my Nifty Fifty and LensBaby Spark on hand also for those creative and super bokeh shots I love. If you're curious about what I have in my bag, AND what sort of bag I use to carry my equipment check out this link that explains everything I routinely carry.
