Prom Details

May 28, 2013  •  Leave a Comment

I had the wonderful pleasure of taking Prom photos for a family friend.  Our daughters went to elementary school together but they ended up going to different schools after 5th grade.  Several years had past and when we reconnected it was amazing to see how beautiful her daughter has become, she's simply gorgeous and on top of that she's a fierce athlete.

During our Prom session I brought a wonderful love seat to add some fun.  The best thing about it is I borrowed it from another friend.  But now I want to buy one just like it.  It's perfect and adds a unique touch.  It's great for couples, families and pets (another photo passion I have)!

One of the main things I paid attention to during our Prom session was attention to detail.  The girls have fun getting their hair, make-up and nails done.  So I made sure to take photos of those details.  Things they will want to remember long after Prom is over.

The other thing I did was create a photo booth area for each of the nine couples I worked with.  This is where I used the fun love seat for them to sit in and take 4-5 photos. I took my favorite 3 images and created a triple set like you would get from a photo booth.  It really captured the spontaneity of the moment.

She definitely captured that essence.  She's got that whole Veronica Lake thing going on :) Old Hollywood StylingBeauty
