A few folks have asked me to provide a DIY board to show how I made the "LOVE KNOT" for my Save-the-Date engagement photos.  It is super simple AND super inexpensive!  It will only take you a trip to the hardware store, a few safety pins and some twists and turns.

What you need:

1. 6 feet of white, thick nylon rope (I purchased mine at Home Depot for under $5.00)
2. 4 medium to large size safety pins

Gosh, is that it?  Yup!

Step 1: Gather the rope and find the mid-point (does not need to be precise, but approximate

Step 2: Use the first safety pin to create the bottom angle of the heart

Step 3: Shape the rest of the rope into a heart shape similar to the photo

Step 4: Use safety pins at the remaining 3 intersecting points of the rope.  Hide the safety pins in the back of the heart.  Even if it shows in the photo you can Photoshop it out.

Viola!  You now have a LOVE KNOT to use in your Save-the-Date, newborn or wedding sessions.  You will Love it!
