Fleeting Moments - Fleet Week in San Francisco | Tina Case PhotographyIt's been years since my family went to see the Blue Angels. As a matter of fact I don't think we've ever taken our kids to the event. So when my daughter suggested we go, off we went. We didn't run into any crowds, traffic or issues. It was terrific. Our tips to anyone going to San Francisco for this event? Be sure to use WAZE or Google Maps to find the best route. Then park near Pier 80. Check out the ships that are docked there. Be sure to get there early or the lines will be hours long. Or go on a less hectic weekday. Then take UBER or LYFT toward the Ferry Building, as close as you can get to Alcatraz. However, we stopped just before the Ferry Building with the Coit Tower in view as well as the Bay Bridge. It was perfect. Check out the photos I captured using my Canon 5D Mark II and 70-200mm F2.8 lens. That lens is one of my favorite lenses and typically attached to that camera body while my Canon 5D Mark III usually has the 24-70mm f2.8 lens. So if you're able to go this year-check Fleet Week out. It gives you chills watching the precision maneuvers the pilots make. And proud to be an American!
