Danira and Rich Wedding Photos | Tina Case PhotographyIt all started with a "Woof" and a "Meow" - and I'm not talking about how this gorgeous couple met. I'm talking about how I met the lovely Danira. About 2 years ago I started taking pet photos for the vet clinic where Danira works. From there she knew my name and last autumn after she got engaged asked me to take their "Save the Date" portraits. It was one of my most memorable sessions not only because this couple is head-turning good-looking and nice-as-can-be, but the venue, lighting and just everything was perfectly amazing. [See my "Save the Date" post about this couple] However, when it came to their wedding, I recommended they check out Chris Shum Photography. I've only worked at weddings for relatives and friends. Danira and Rich ended up meeting with a number of photographers but ended up choosing Chris. I was elated. That meant I'd be able to second shoot for him and have a full peek inside the world of an international award winning wedding photographer. I learned so much and saw what a calm, cool and collected photographer Chris is. He's such a pro and I learned about posing, surroundings, lighting and more. I look forward to the next time I can help him out. Wedding photography is intense. You are on your feet for hours - up to 12 or more depending on the couple and their family traditions. Comfortable attire and SHOES is essential. It is a great workout. With weddings there is a long list of "must have" shots. Plus the lighting, crowds, delays and personalities can be a lot to navigate. So it is important, not only for any couple getting married, but for a second shooter to select a primary photographer who has an easy-going personality. And that's Chris to a "T." You can see more of Chris's wedding portraits here. I was able to capture a few shots of my own that you can view below. And to Danira and Rich - you are one of the loveliest couples I've had the pleasure of working with. There wasn't a dry eye in the house when you two said your vows. Cheers - to a long, love-filled life together!
Above: This couple has such a great sense of humor. The groom gave out these great whiskey flasks to his groomsmen. We had Danira take a small swig while Rich played coy with her bouquet. I love that shot. In the next photo you see see the beautiful valley and vineyard that Bella Montagna overlooks. Stunning!
The newly minted Mr. and Mrs.
The wonderful toast by the best man.
The maid-of-honor/sister had one of the most beautiful, tender and loving speeches. It a wonderful, love-filled wedding.
No matter that there were 3 photographers and 3 videographers, folks still want to take their own photos!
I really like "behind the scenes" photos :)
What I love about the photo above and below is the bright, shiny wedding band on the groom.
A wonderful moment - the traditional father-daughter dance.
The Emcee is a good friend of the bride and groom, he also conducted the ceremony. I showed him this shot in camera which he got a big kick out of.
