Besides photography, my other passion is writing.  I have a blog called Parent Grapevine which I started with a friend.  That blog has been around since 2008.  I also freelance for Yahoo!, which I LOVE!  I used to think I loved writing more than photography.  At one point I was even considering hanging up my camera bag to devote 100% of my time to writing.  But photography jobs came rolling in and I have to say, I'm glad they did.  I LOVE photography.  It's a passion.  It's something I do in my sleep, I dream about it.  It's something I do with nearly every waking moment.  It's what I do when I'm not writing.

Recently I got to combine the two.  As a freelance writer I get some fun opportunities such as writing movie reviews and getting to see pre-screenings (my eldest daughter was lucky enough to join me for a pre-screening of "The Hunger Games" at Industrial Light & Magic.  That was super dee duper! 

But so was taking photos of Buster Posey and Ryan Vogelsong of the San Francisco Giants.  They were in the process of rolling out a PSA (Public Service Announcement) about the ESRB software and video game rating system.   If you are in California you will start seeing them on TV and at their games this season.

Lastly, here's a photo of me with some of the other mommy bloggers.

It was a fun, fun day at the stadium.  I even took my daughter's 6th grade teacher (see below) along.  He's a HUGE fan of the SF Giants.  I told him it was unpredictable, that we might only be able to see the players from a distance.  But we were so lucky and got to sit just a few feet away from them as they made their press announcement.  And then we ended up getting a chance to take some photos with them.  A fan's delight.  A photo opportunity.  Play ball!
